ISA CTEEP wins the second biggest lot in transmission auction 001/2020

Investment estimated by ANEEL is R$1.1 billion
Permitted Annual Revenue (PAR) is R$68 million 

São Paulo, December 18, 2020 - ISA CTEEP, Brazil’s largest private power transmission company, has won lot 7 in the transmission auction 001/2020 conducted today by the National Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), at an investment estimated by ANEEL of R$1.1 billion – equivalent to 14% of the total bid investments. A total of 11 lots, of projects comprising 1,959 km of transmission lines and 6,420 MVA in transformation capacity of substations, were auctioned.

“The lot won by us is located in São Paulo, where we have an important operation. This achievement is in line with our strategy of generating sustainable value through projects that help expand the electricity transmission system in Brazil,” says Rui Chammas, CEO of ISA CTEEP.

The lot has 63 km of 800 MVA transmission lines to serve the Northern, Southern and Eastern regions of the city of São Paulo and the ABC region, which will be added to the over 20,000 km of lines already owned by the company, of which 18,600 are operational and 1,800 are under construction. Permitted Annual Revenue from the project is R$68 million, with a maximum construction period of 60 months.
The project will also help stimulate the local economy by creating jobs and strengthening the existing transmission network.
