ISA CTEEP OBTAINS THE INSTRUMENT FOR IE TIBAGI'S DEFINITIVE OPERATION

The investment in the project amounted to R$ 118 million

São Paulo, January 12, 2021 - ISA CTEEP, the largest private electric power transmission company in the country, has obtained the Instrument for Definitive Release (TLD) to start the operation of the Tibagi Interconnection (IE Tibagi). The project features an 18-km long transmission line and expansion of a substation, which connects Nova Porto Primavera, in Paraná, to Rosana, in São Paulo.

IE Tibagi started operating by receiving partial Annual Allowed Revenue (APR) in December last year, eight months ahead of the term set in the notice. The project's investment amounted to R$ 118 million and RAP is around R$ 16 million for the 2020-2021 cycle. An Adjustment Portion (PA) with a discount of R$ 6.7 million in the 2020-2021 tariff cycle will be implemented, pursuant to the contractual amendment.

Throughout the work, which was kicked-off in the third quarter of 2018, approximately 350 professionals worked to ensure the early completion of the project, which improves the robustness of the National Interconnected System (SIN). For ISA CTEEP’s CEO, Rui Chammas, “IE Tibagi is another project that contributes to the expansion of the country's energy transmission system, particularly by strengthening the connection between the states of Paraná and São Paulo, providing huge benefits to the society and contributing to the creation of sustainable business value”.
