The CTEEP model of Corporate Social Responsibility is built into its business strategy.

The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is built into the CTEEP management model. Aware of the importance of its activities as a public service provider, the company has incorporated its model of CSR into its business strategy, expressed in the adoption of ethical actions, in transparent dialog, in the integrity of its relationships, in its concern for the environment, and in its commitment to its stakeholders: employees, clients, suppliers, shareholders and investors, the State and society.

In 2008, CTEEP continued the development of the concept of CSR in its daily activities, strengthening its actions through sustainable management based on foundations developed according to the corporate strategies. To this end, a detailed diagnosis was prepared of the applicability of the company’s policies, which demonstrated the degree of adjustment required and the improvements to be carried out in 2009.

For this reason, the company supports social, cultural and environmental projects and contributes to the development of the concept of CSR, strengthening its guidelines for a more strategic performance, with sustainable, long-term projects and actions. CTEEP therefore maintains its equivalence with market benchmark models such as the Ethos Indicators, from the Ethos Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility, the BOVESPA Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Internally, in order to advance the insertion of Corporate Social Responsibility criteria in the Day-to-day Management, an awareness training campaign was developed for all levels of the organization, allowing greater understanding of the impact of corporate processes on the success of the commitments established with stakeholders.
