CTEEP makes use of an integrated management model that aims for excellence in three aspects: operations and management (Day-to-day Management), strategy (Strategic Direction) and personnel (Cultural Transformation). In order to ensure consistency and compliance with its aims for growth, operational efficiency and management in keeping with the advancement of the strategy, the company uses the following management methodologies:

  • Balanced Scorecard (BSC) – used by CTEEP to orient the process of defining the strategic initiatives to be developed by the company.
  • Plan, Develop, Check and Act (PDCA) – the concepts from this methodology are applied in the structure of the Day-to-day Management, as a way of perfecting day-to-day processes in the search for results and the consolidation of a culture of ongoing improvement.

During the year, a number of initiatives were developed with a focus on perfecting process management and corporate organization. The following are highlights:

  • Mapping of processes and development of Standard Operating Procedures for the Works and Maintenance areas, with the implementation of opportunities for ongoing improvement;
  • Definition of performance indicators for the Operations, Maintenance and Works areas;
  • Development of administrative processes (payroll, purchasing and hiring, asset management, etc) with a view to ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2010;
  • Updating of administrative standards and procedures and the Competencies Manual, in relation to all areas and positions in the company.
