The company encourages the professional education of its team by means of scholarships for postgraduate, language and auxiliary education courses.

Through its Corporate Education Program, CTEEP offers its employees training activities to encourage the development of competencies required by the strategies of the business, thereby raising the quality of the talents within the company.

In 2008, training activities were concentrated mainly on the integration of employees with SAP, (62 classes with 3,848 participations, totaling 16,744 person hours) and on the training of substation technicians and assistants who came to be included in the new work model in the Operation and Maintenance areas, with the participation of 310 people in 26 classes, spread over five modules of theoretical classes and practical activities.

In total, 785 classes were formed, totaling 107,580 person hours and 9,223 participations, with an average of 82 training hours per employee.

Among the main training and updating actions carried out, the following are highlights:

  • Training of 850 employees in the changes and implications of Regulatory Norm nº 10, regarding Safety in Electricity Installations and Services.
  • Operating Instructions training for 706 participants, regarding CTEEP internal workplace safety norms.
  • Day-to-day Management training for 547 participants.
  • Commencement of the Executive Management Program for 26 managers, with the first two modules: Leadership and Managing People.
  • Implementation of the Leadership Development Program, with the participation of 80 coordinators, to strengthen the development of leaders and successors.
